June 21, 2024 ZOOFARI Zoo Volunteer Opportunity

It’s that time of the year once again, and we are excited to share our volunteer opportunities for our annual fundraising celebration, ZOOFARI presented by Wells Fargo on Friday, June 21. We have both day and evening volunteer positions available. Volunteers will receive 2 Zoo Adventure Passes as a thank you, as well as a ZOOFARI volunteer t-shirt. Event Details:

ZOOFARI presented by Wells Fargo is the Saint Louis Zoo’s biggest fundraiser. Guests will eat, drink and dance the night away while discovering a variety of specialty food from St. Louis' finest restaurants and caterers. They’ll also participate in a variety of fundraising activities and enjoy live music. Volunteer support and funds raised from ZOOFARI help support the Zoo's conservation efforts here and around the world.

 

Volunteer Needs and Details:

We need over 200 volunteers to make this an incredible event. Volunteers during the day assist with the event set-up, which includes restaurant load-in, setting up tables and bars, signs and special activities. Volunteers during the evening aid in the execution of the event, which includes helping with special activities, greeting guests, working as restaurant and bar assistants, monitoring reserved areas, and more! Minimum age for volunteering is 21 years old.

Event Date: Friday, June 21, 2024

Event Time: 7:15  – 11:00 p.m.

Shift Times: Vary. Both daytime setup and evening event volunteer shifts are available. Please review the ZOOFARI Volunteer Descriptions before signing up. Final assignments will be given during volunteer dispatch.  If you are signing up as a group, everyone will need to register individually.

 

Uniform: ZOOFARI volunteer t-shirt and khaki or solid color pants/short (no jeans). Please see your volunteer registration confirmation email for details about pre-event t-shirt pick up. T-shirt pick-up will also be provided during the event day check-in. 

Volunteer Benefits:

A ZOOFARI volunteer t-shirt (one per volunteer to be used as a uniform during volunteer shift, picked up at check-in or during specific pick-up times before the event)

Food and beverages will be available for all volunteers in the McDonnell Center at River Camp throughout the day and night of the event.

Two (2) Adventure Passes (mailed to you after the event)
