Endangered Species Day, Friday, May 17 

Help us spread the word about endangered species on Endangered Species Day, Friday, May 17. Events volunteers will assist employees and Docents with educational activities and will serve as Pathway Guides. Event details and sign up below. 

Event Details 

Endangered Species Day festivities will be around Zoo grounds. Keeper chats and enrichment will take place at highlighted habitats, along with interpretive experiences. Specialty food & beverages will be available for purchase at select food outlets. Retail will feature their Endangered Species-related items at open gift shops. An adoption display will be set up at the South Welcome Desk. 

Event Date: Friday, May 17 

Shift Time: 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. OR 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  

Event Time: 10 a.m. - 2p.m. 

Event Location: Zoo grounds 

* Special Events will provide snacks and beverages to volunteers.
