Description:
Volunteer Services and the Special Events team are excited to share the official volunteer recruitment for the Saint Louis Zoo’s very first Animals Aglow, a lantern festival! This new event series will run Wednesdays through Sundays, beginning Wednesday, March 13 until Sunday, May 5. Volunteers will assist as Interactive Pathway Guides, helping guests navigate the event footprint, taking guest photos, and inviting guests to participate in interactive light displays and activities.
As you can imagine, we need a lot of volunteer support so please sign up for more than one date. Please also feel free to invite friends and family to volunteer with you! Anyone who is at least 15 years old is welcome to volunteer!
Event Details: Colorful lanterns will light up Zoo grounds this spring during Animals Aglow! Guests will walk around the Zoo amidst the luminous glow of towering wildlife lanterns. There will be over 50 lanterns spread throughout the Zoo, including archways and sprawling displays. Some lanterns will incorporate movement, sound effects, and changing colors. Displays include animals and plants from around the world. Tickets for the lantern festival will go on sale January 31.
Event Dates: March 13-17, 20-24, 27-31, April 3-7, 10-14, 17-21, 24-28, and May 1-5, 2024
